The project started with a kickoff meeting between the client, project manager, and design team to align on the product vision and direction. The client shared moodboards and visual references to define the look and feel, followed by a detailed PRD covering the design and development requirements.
Before starting the UX work, I broke down the PRD into individual features, user requirements, and key product journeys. I also used AI as a supporting tool to organize and analyze the large amount of information, helping me turn complex requirements into a clearer product structure and actionable design task

PRD Breakdown

I reviewed Spiriteo’s existing website and explored popular spiritual and astrology platforms such as Nebula, AstroTalk, LoveLab, and others. I tested key experiences firsthand, including rituals, expert discovery, consultation booking, and content exploration, to understand existing UX patterns, identify strengths and pain points,

With the PRD and competitor research as a foundation, I mapped Spiriteo’s features and content into a clear information architecture. This helped define how users move through key experiences such as expert discovery, consultations, rituals, and live sessions.

I explored different ideas through quick sketches and reviewed them with my PM, François, and the client. I also used Claude to challenge my ideas, explore alternative UX solutions, organize feedback, and identify potential improvements. This helped me iterate faster, refine the experience, and make more informed design decisions before moving into high-fidelity design.

A flexible sign-up experience with quick social login, while also offering an email-and-password option as requested by the client.

Interactive Prototype
I designed the home screen as the main discovery hub, placing a personalized greeting, search, daily horoscope, featured psychics, and curated content within a clear visual hierarchy. The sample horoscope banner creates an immediate daily entry point and encourages users to explore rituals, while featured expert cards provide quick access to consultation. Search, popular topics, and filters then help users move from casual browsing to finding the right psychic quickly, supporting both engagement and conversion.

I designed the expert discovery and profile experience to help users find, evaluate, and connect with the right expert. Users can browse and filter experts by specialty, language, themes, availability, and rating, then explore detailed profiles with the expert’s photo, experience, languages, consultation history, rating, and areas of expertise. The profile also includes an introduction, themes, an optional introduction video, available time slots, consultation services, pricing, and reviews, giving users the information they need before making a decision. Users can then choose their preferred way to connect, including phone, chat, or email, while also saving experts for later or checking their availability status.

The Ritual experience gives users access to personalized spiritual practices and guidance. Users can explore different rituals, discover recommendations, and follow practices designed around their needs and interests.

I designed the profile and payment experience to give users a clear way to manage their account and consultation spending. From the profile, users can access favorites, consultations, credit history, support, and settings, while the wallet allows them to purchase diamonds used for consultations. The checkout flow provides multiple payment options, saved cards, coupon support, and a clear payment summary before completing the purchase.

Project Status
We completed the core navigation and established the main screens and product structure. Before moving into the next round of refinement with the agency and client, the project was temporarily put on hold. I then transitioned to another project, so the remaining iterations and client-driven refinements were left for a future phase.
Structure Before Screens
Breaking down the PRD and competitor research helped me understand the product at a deeper level before jumping into UI. Building the information architecture first gave the experience a clearer foundation.
Collaboration Shapes Better Solutions
Working closely with the PM, client, and team through open discussions helped me challenge my initial ideas and look at problems from different perspectives.
AI as a Design Thinking Partner
I used Claude to challenge assumptions, explore alternative UX solutions, organize feedback, and identify potential improvements. It helped me explore more directions faster while keeping the final decisions grounded in my own design reasoning.
Sketch, Test, Iterate
I used quick sketches to explore different layouts, interactions, and UX directions before committing to high-fidelity design. Through discussions with François, client feedback, and iteration, I was able to compare different solutions, identify what worked best, and gradually refine the experience.
